What we do
From the first conversation to a registered trademark, NAIR Trademarks handles each step of the Singapore process — and stays with you if an examiner pushes back.
Free · Advisory
Tell us about your brand and what you sell, and you’ll receive a considered written assessment by email — what’s worth protecting, and the sensible next step. No charge, no obligation.
Search
We scan the register for marks that could clash with your name or logo, then give you a plain read on your odds of registering.
Filing · IPOS
We prepare and file your application with IPOS — the right classes, the right details, done properly the first time.
Drafting
We pick the correct classes and draft clear, commercially sound descriptions of the goods and services you want to protect.
Prosecution
If the examiner objects — similarity, descriptiveness, distinctiveness — we build and file a considered response on your behalf.
How it works
Registering a trademark is a sequence, not a leap. Here’s the route we’ll take together — and where we step in on your behalf.
You send us your brand and goals; we reply by email with a detailed view of what’s worth protecting.
No cost
We assess the register for conflicts and give you an honest view of the risk.
We select classes, draft specifications and file your application with IPOS.
If objections arise, we respond and argue the case for your mark.
Your trademark is registered — a protected, enforceable asset for your business.

About
“Protecting a brand shouldn’t feel intimidating or out of reach — my job is to make the whole process clear.”
I’m Akshay Nair, a Singapore-based law graduate with an LLB from the University of Bristol and hands-on experience in trademark prosecution and brand protection.
My work has covered the whole of the trademark process — conducting availability searches, reviewing specifications of goods and services, assisting with applications and responding to examination objections. NAIR Trademarks brings that experience to individuals, entrepreneurs, start-ups and established companies who want to protect their brand the right way.

FAQ
Short answers to the things most people want to know before they get in touch.
A trademark is the sign that tells customers a product or service comes from you — most often a name or a logo. Registering it in Singapore gives you an exclusive right to use that sign for the goods and services you have registered, and a clear basis on which to stop others using something confusingly similar.
Registration usually takes somewhere in the region of 6 to 8 months from filing. Examination objections or a third-party opposition will extend that — we’ll tell you honestly where your application sits at each stage.
Our fee is S$450 per class — all inclusive. That covers both our professional fees and the official filing fees.
Trademarks are registered in classes: standardised categories covering different types of goods and services. You apply in whichever classes match what your business actually sells. Most small businesses only need one or two. We’ll confirm the right classes with you before anything is filed, so you’ll know your full cost upfront — no hidden extras, no surprise invoices later.
Not sure how many classes you need? Get in touch and we’ll take a look at your business — no charge.
An objection is not the end of the application. Common grounds are that a mark is descriptive, lacks distinctiveness, or is too close to an earlier mark. We’ll explain what has been raised, tell you frankly how strong the position is, and prepare and file a written response on your behalf.
